Episode 628: Primetime, Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother, You Had to Be There, Movie News LIVE!

We are in the thick of fall movie season now, and you're here with us. Here's what we reviewed on this week's episode of our Breakfast All Day podcast.

• PRIMETIME. Robert Pattinson IS Chris Hansen, host of the NBC series "To Catch a Predator" in the early aughts. The film is lurid and Pattinson gives an enjoyably garish performance. In theaters.
• YOUR MOTHER YOUR MOTHER YOUR MOTHER. Mahershala Ali stars as a devoutly Muslim hitman trying to find milk for his infant daughter in a dangerous section of Houston. A true original. In limited release now and going wider in upcoming weeks.
• YOU HAD TO BE THERE. A fascinating documentary about the 1972 Toronto production of "Godspell." Name a Canadian comedian whose work you like, and they probably got their start here. In theaters.
• MOVIE NEWS LIVE! Lots to discuss as always, including early reactions to "Digger," trailers for "Musk," "Clayface" and "You Can See Everything," and the state of the Paramount/Warner Bros. merger. Join us on Fridays at Noon Pacific.

Thanks for starting your weekend with us!
